Tyrrells Hand Cooked English Crisps are proud to support British pubs hit by the COVID-19 crisis by partnering with the Licensed Trade Charity (LTC). The charity helps thousands of pubs, bars and brewers in need of assistance each year and has seen requests for help increase by 97% in recent months.
In September, one million new Limited Edition Tyrrells packs will go on sale across the country, with 5p per pack donated to the LTC. The packs will be available in Tyrrells most loved flavours ; Lightly Sea Salted, Mature Cheddar & Chive and Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar (40g).
Jim Brewster, Chief Executive, Licensed Trade Charity said: “COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on the pub, bar and brewery industry. But although times are tough, the people who work in this industry are passionate about the role they play at the heart of communities. We’re working with Tyrrells to spread the message that the LTC is here to help them. Be that financial grants to support with rent or mortgage arrears and telephone support services for those suffering emotionally.”
Dan Winslet, Group Marketing Controller at Tyrrells, said: “At Tyrrells, we’re proud of our British provenance and heritage, and nothing says quintessentially British quite like your local pub. British Pubs are an institution and we believe it’s hugely important to help in whatever way we can for them to get back on their feet after this challenging period. We will raise £50,000 to support the Licenced Trade Charity with our new Limited Edition packs. We hope this money make a real difference to those working in the establishments we all know and love.”
Brits can do their bit for their local, by enjoying their favourite ‘Tyrrellbly, Tyrrellbly tasty’ hand cooked English crisps with 5p from each Limited-Edition 40g pack going to the LTC. And they can donate directly to LTC via https://www.justgiving.com/licensedtradecharity
The Limited-Edition packs will be on sale from September at supermarkets, independent stores and cafes across the UK as well as of course, selected pubs.
