LTC and Dewkes partner to support hospitality people

LTC has partnered with Dewkes, a dog hospitality brand that helps pubs, cafés and hotels provide a better welcome for dogs and their owners.

Through the partnership, Dewkes will donate a percentage of its revenue to LTC, helping us provide financial, practical and emotional support to people across licensed hospitality.

The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared interest in wellbeing, community and welcoming hospitality spaces.

Who is Dewkes?

James and Jane Bygate founded Dewkes in Mumbles, Swansea, after their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Duke, inspired them to create a dog-friendly café and pet shop. Running the venue gave them first-hand experience of welcoming dogs and their owners in a hospitality setting.

Dewkes has since grown into a UK dog brand serving hospitality businesses. It supplies natural dog treats, meals and ready-to-use products that help venues offer a simple, consistent dog-friendly experience.

Its customers include independent venues, hospitality groups and wholesalers across the UK.

Why dog-friendly hospitality matters

For many customers, being able to bring their dog affects where they choose to eat, drink or stay. A clear dog-friendly offer can help a venue reach these customers while making local hospitality spaces easier for them to use.

Dogs can also support routine, companionship and social contact. When venues welcome dogs responsibly, owners can spend time with other people without leaving their pet at home. Pubs, cafés and hotels near parks, walking routes and coastal paths are well placed to offer this.

A good dog-friendly offer should work for every guest. Clear house rules, clean water, suitable seating areas and considerate use of shared spaces can help venues create a comfortable experience for dog owners, other customers and staff.

How Dewkes will support LTC

Dewkes will donate a percentage of its revenue to LTC. The funding will support our work with people in licensed hospitality who need help with their finances, housing, mental health or other challenges.

Each sale will contribute to that support. As more venues work with Dewkes and develop their dog-friendly offer, the partnership will raise funds for hospitality colleagues and their families.

A partnership with people at its heart

The partnership creates a practical link between dog-friendly hospitality and support for the people who work in the sector:

  • Dewkes helps venues welcome dogs and their owners.
  • Venues can provide a clear, thoughtful dog-friendly experience.
  • A percentage of Dewkes’ revenue is donated to LTC.
  • LTC uses this funding to support hospitality people and their families.

What comes next

Over the coming months, LTC and Dewkes will share practical advice for venues, information about dog-inclusive hospitality and updates on how the partnership supports people across the sector.

We look forward to working with Dewkes and helping hospitality businesses create welcoming spaces while raising funds for the people behind them.
