Always On Shift: Wellbeing Support for Hospitality Workers
For many people working in hospitality, the pressures of work and life do not always end when their shift does.
Always On Shift is our brand-new campaign, created to bring that experience to life and make sure people across licensed hospitality know that free, confidential support is available when they need it.

The campaign follows a hospitality professional through the mounting pressures of a difficult day. It shows what can happen when work and personal pressures overlap and switching off becomes harder.
If that feels familiar, you do not need to wait until things become overwhelming before reaching out. Our support is free, confidential and available 24/7 via our helpline: 0808 801 0550, website and wellbeing platform.

Why wellbeing support matters in hospitality
Always On Shift is grounded in what people across hospitality are telling us through our research and the support they access.
Among people contacting LTC about work-related issues, workplace pressure was reported in 67% of cases and performance concerns in 61%. Anxiety and sleep difficulties are also among the most common wellbeing concerns.
Our 2026 Wellbeing at Work research with KAM Insight found:
- Two in three hospitality employees feel stressed or overwhelmed at work regularly or occasionally.
- 29% experienced sleep as a personal challenge in the previous 12 months.
- 92% believe team wellbeing directly affects productivity and service quality.
These pressures do not always stay at work. Always On Shift brings that reality to life and reminds people that support is available before a challenge becomes a crisis.

Wellbeing support for your team
Always On Shift is also a reminder for employers, managers and People teams to make sure employees know where they can turn when they need support.
LTC’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) gives licensed hospitality businesses a way to provide confidential support to employees and their families. Support includes counselling, money and debt guidance, housing and benefits advice, critical incident support, management support and access to the LTC Wellbeing Platform.
Learn more about our EAP offer, or contact our Head of Commercial, Neil Smith, at [email protected] to get started.
Already an LTC EAP partner? Your employees already have support available through your organisation. Share Always On Shift with your teams and remind employees how to access your LTC EAP through your usual internal route.
The campaign can also be used by managers as a simple starting point for conversations about wellbeing and the support available.

The making of Always On Shift
We wanted Always On Shift to show why someone might need LTC’s support, not simply tell people what support is available.
Created with Fleet Street and Natural Selection, the campaign draws on the pressures highlighted through our research and support services and translates them into a recognisable hospitality story.
The film follows the mounting pressure of a difficult day, from the pace and demands of work to the moments when those pressures continue at home. The creative deliberately builds the sights, sounds and demands of hospitality around its central character, showing what it can feel like to have finished your shift without feeling as though you have truly switched off.

Help us take Always On Shift further
The more people who see Always On Shift, the greater the chance it reaches someone who needs to know support is available.
We encourage you to share the campaign with your colleagues, teams and networks. If you are an employer, share it through your internal channels and make sure your people know how to access support. If you work with the licensed hospitality community, help us take the message beyond LTC’s own channels.
If the film made you think of a colleague, friend or family member, share it with them too. Your share could help someone know where to turn before a challenge becomes a crisis.
