Housing
We can assist you with a wide range of housing issues. If you’re having difficulty with your accommodation whether you’re facing eviction or need housing for for over 55’s, we can help you with practical advice.
We can provide guidance on your tenancy rights and if you are struggling with the cost of essential repairs, even pay for these works if you’re not in a position to cover the cost (*criteria applies).

Housing options for people ages 55+
The Licensed Trade Charity has partnered with Anchor Hanover, a not-for-profit housing provider, to offer secure and affordable housing options for individuals aged 55 and over who have worked in the licensed trade for at least five years.
This partnership gives applicants priority on waiting lists, significantly reducing the wait time for housing compared to the general public. Anchor Hanover provides various housing options, including 1-bedroom flats, 2-bedroom properties, and studios, with some locations offering extra-care support and 24-hour emergency call systems.
To apply, contact LTC’s Charity Services Support Team for an application form.We will need proof of your employment in the licensed trade and will ask you to sign an HMRC form to gain this. For more details on available housing schemes, visit the Anchor Hanover website.

Shelter
Shelter’s Helpline Plus service offers comprehensive remote support to individuals facing housing issues. The service provides expert advice and casework in areas such as homelessness prevention, dealing with mortgage and rent arrears, managing possession actions, illegal evictions, and improving living conditions. Shelter also offers guidance on welfare benefits and debt management.
The LTC can refer people to the Shelter Helpline, where experienced advisers will assess the situation, provide an action plan, and manage the case to resolution, ensuring clients receive the necessary assistance.

Education
We have been educating the children of licensed trade families for over 220 years and continue to offer an outstanding independent education to the licensed trade community.
If you need full-time educational support for your child, we can help. You could be entitled to a bursary or financial support for your child to attend LVS Ascot. Learn more here.

Critical Incident
The Licensed Trade Charity offers dedicated support for those affected by critical incidents.
A critical incident refers to any traumatic event that significantly impacts a group of people at one or multiple sites, in a way that can be potentially traumatising and prevent people from continuing with their day to day jobs, such as a serious accident, violent encounter, or sudden death of a customer or team member.
We provide expert support 24/7, ensuring you’re never alone in your or your team’s recovery journey.

If you are responsible for the health and wellbeing of a team, we can provide free consultancy that can help you deal with a wide range of sensitive issues that may arise within an organisation and its workforce.

If you are in need of help with legal matters, our team offers free, impartial advice on complex legal and tax issues.
