After the incredible success of the debut Pedalling 2 Pubs ride in 2023, the epic industry bike ride and sibling fundraiser to Pedalling for Pubs, is returning for another year, having raised over £25k so far for two vital industry charities; Only A Pavement Away and the Licenced Trade Charity.
Organisers of the epic charity bike ride, Pedalling for Pubs and UK ride Pedalling 2 Pubs, have announced that thanks to the combined efforts of campaign sponsors, organisers and riders banging the fundraising drum, over £1m has been raised for the Licenced Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away since the initiatives founding three years ago.
Heart of Hospitality recognises the people within the licenced trade who always go that extra mile to give a little TLC, with a long-term goal of making the industry a more supportive place and raising awareness of the challenges faced by hospitality professionals.
With increased emotional and financial pressures being placed on those who work in the drinks industry, The Licensed Trade Charity has unveiled a brand-new campaign, ‘Because Everyone Needs A Little TLC,’ to drive greater awareness of the services the LTC offers and to encourage more industry professionals to access support when in need.
After a challenging trading period through December and Christmas for the licensed drinks sector the Licensed Trade Charity has announced it has helped over 120k people and given over £3.3m in grants and services since the start of Covid-19.
A publican’s wife has praised the Licensed Trade Charity for rescuing her son’s education and inspiring him to new academic heights by giving him an opportunity she says was “life changing.”
