The plight of refugees coming into the UK touches all our hearts and we want to do what we can to lighten the load for those families who have had to flee the difficulties they face in their home countries.

Through our existing partnerships we can extend the support we offer to refugees who come to the UK from licensed hospitality roles in their home country, and who are looking for roles in licensed hospitality in the UK.

For refugees who have worked in licensed hospitality in the past or present:

  • Our website is free to access and full of useful information.
  • Our free 24/7 helpline 0808 801 0550 offers practical guidance from information specialists and emotional support from trained counsellors.
  • Our free App (download from the App Store or Google Play) gives instant access to our support with one touch.

For refugees who are looking for a role in licensed hospitality in the UK (and have the relevant right to employment) we partner with Only A Pavement Away who connect people in vulnerable groups (homeless, ex-offenders, ex-service people, refugees) to existing roles in the hospitality sector through their jobs board.

Once in that role we, the Licensed Trade Charity, can offer short term hardship grants for refugees, who have secured the right to work in the UK, to cover the ‘getting started’ costs.

For the first step to accessing that support and for help in finding a job, visit the Only A Pavement Away jobs board – https://onlyapavementaway.co.uk/work-with-us/jobs-board
