support & care

How we help

Our Support & Care offers a crucial lifeline to many hundreds of people working in, or retired from, the licensed drinks trade and their families.  Our professional team and 25 trained Volunteer Visitors across the country provide practical and financial assistance for people in times of trouble.

To access support, just call 01344 898550 or visit our website www.supportandcare.org.

Who can claim support

To qualify for support, people need to have worked in the licensed drinks trade for a minimum of 5 years.  By licensed drinks trade, this can be any role providing it relates to the production, delivery or serving of alcohol, so that includes pubs, bars, clubs, off licenses, breweries, distilleries and includes support staff working in offices of organisations that run pubs or breweries in the UK.

Benevolent expenditure

This year we anticipate providing a total of over £550,000 in grants for people to help with financial hardship, or to assist in buying an essential item they need to give them an adequate quality of life.
