There are many ways we can help, depending on circumstances and need, including:
- Emergency Services - advice and assistance to help stop people going under, from losing their home, or suffering hardship caused by illness or incapacity.
- Regular Allowances - financial awards during hard times to cover pressing needs like utility bills, travel to hospital costs and aid call alarm charges.
- Living Grants - to help pay for urgently needed equipment from household appliances to wheelchairs.
- Quality of Life Awards - contribute to major quality of life expenses to help disabled, ill or elderly people have things like wheelchairs, door widening, stair lifts and ramps or to help recovery from illness such as payments towards convalescent or nursing costs.
- School Bursaries - for boarding and education at the charity's schools to help children and young people complete their education in a stable environment.
- Housing Advice and Assistance - to help people who need retirement housing or who are struggling to keep their home or facing eviction.
- Phone-a-Friend - advice on the telephone, help with state benefits or a friend to visit.
- Last Respects Grant - makes a contribution to funeral expenses when there is no one else to turn to.
