When you are still working, you are often in a busy environment surrounded by people, especially in the licensed drinks trade. But when you retire or perhaps give up work due to ill-health, you may feel cut off from your community. Perhaps you can’t get out of the house as often as you’d want to, or your family lives too far away and you don’t get to see them as much as you’d like?

If you are feeling lonely or know someone in the trade who would value a friendly chat on a regular basis, we are here to help. Licensed Trade Charity telephone befriending service is free and available to anyone*. We have both male and female volunteers available to offer you some company and a friendly listening ear, because we believe everyone deserves to be part of a caring community.

If you would like one of our volunteers to contact you for a regular chat, please call us on 01344 898550.

*Criteria of five year’s continuous employment within the licensed drinks trade applies.
