Consumer Credit Counselling Service
Registered charity to help people who are in financial difficulty. Provides free, independent, impartial and realistic advice. It is a national organization and can help regardless of amount of debts.
The Insolvency Service
Governement agency which provides information about bankruptcy and relevant forms. Does not give individual advice.

National telephone helpline for people with debt problems in England, Wales and Scotland. Free, confidential and independent.

Free debt advice and debt management agency. No mattter how large the debt, Payplan can find an individual solution that will avoid borrowing more money.
Alcohol Concern
National agency on alcohol misuse. Offers a free, online course aimed at developing safer drinking habits.
Alcoholics Anonymous
AA works on a group basis. Members share their experiences to help each other overcome their drinking problems.
Al-Anon Family Groups UK & Eire
Al-Anon offers support to families and friends of problem drinkers. Al-Ateen is for young people, aged 12-20, who have been affected by someone else's drinking.
BBPA
Promotes and represents the beer and pub sector of the drinks industry. It aims to promote sensible and responsible drinking.
D-RINK AWARE.CO.UK
Offers information on the effects of alcohol and provides hints and tips on avoiding problems related to alcohol.

Warm Front Scheme
Grants to help pay for heating and insulation repairs for people on income or disability related benefits.
